The friendly folks at The Skyview Motel in Los Alamos posted a good selection of ride routes of varying length and difficulty with cue sheets and elevation profiles. Adapt them to start where it is convenient for you.

Here's an example for a Figueroa Mtn. loop from Los Olivos.  A breathtaking 40 miles with a very strenuous 10 mile climb. Click on "View Path in Full" to access the cue sheet.
